Many whiskies take their flavour from just one cask. Aged initially in oak, this whisky has enjoyed a finishing period in Caribbean rum casks. Grant's master blender, Brian Kinsman, was curious to see the impact rum would have on the classic Gran't flavours as part of the Cask Editions range.

The result is smooth, rich and sweet - evidence that great things happen when you work together! The tropical flavours from the rum cask go well with the orange in an Old Fashioned - see recipe below.

Grant's Rum Cask Old Fashioned

You will need:

• 50ml Grant's Rum Cask
• One sugar cube soaked in bitters
• Orange peel for garnish

To make:

1. Soak sugar cube with bitters, add to a mixing glass & muddle
2. Add ice followed by half of whisky & stir
3. Repeat and strain into glass over single ice cube
4. Enjoy!
